Texas Abolitionist Workshop

The Texas Abolitionist Workshop is an opportunity for communities across the state of Texas to acquire the tools and resources needed to establish anti-human trafficking coalitions. Participants will learn how to raise awareness in their community by attending sessions led by experts and through experiencing innovative approaches to educating and training the public. Participants will receive a flash drive containing Speaker’s presentations and other workshop material.

Faith and Freedom Weekend 2011

As part of Houston Rescue and Restore Coalition’s 5th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Month we will host our annual Faith and Freedom Weekend – September 16th – 18th, 2011. Faith and Freedom Weekend is an interfaith initiative uniting synagogues, mosques, churches, temples and all centers of faith to stand for freedom by dialoguing and acting to raise awareness of the injustice and inhumanity of human trafficking. With millions living in slavery around the world, communities of faith can play a key role in liberating these individuals by uniting for freedom. HRRC will be hosting three events during the weekend which are all open to the public.
