The J-1 Summer Work Travel program, which annually brings in around 100,000 foreign college students to work in the United States, has been found to be rife with exploitation and abuse. The US State Department is proposing major changes to the program. Changes would include banning jobs in factories, warehouses, and places like seafood packing plants. Jobs in the adult entertainment industry that include escort services, adult book/video stores, massage parlors, and strip clubs would also be prohibited. Read the full story here.
