Hershey Pledges $10 million to fight Child Labor

The Hershey chocolate company has pledged $10 million dollars for the next 5 years, to educate West African cocoa farmers on how to improve practices and combat child labor. The company’s pledge is said to be a “welcome first step toward accountability.” Later this year, a new version of Hershey’s Bliss brand will be available for purchase – made entirely from Rainforest Alliance-certified farms in West Africa.
